Does your warehouse sound like this?

What customers usually tell us in the first meeting, and what a WMS changes

Outgrowing Excel or a basic system

ProblemSpreadsheets worked while volumes were low, but growth has made warehouse work too complex to manage that way.

What the system doesA WMS built for warehouse work, with receiving, shipping, counting, public-warehouse and e-commerce functions. Use only the parts you need.

Replacing a legacy WMS

ProblemAgeing client-server hardware is hard to maintain, and the old WMS no longer covers current operations.

What the system doesMove to the cloud with no hardware to own, a dedicated team running the system, and customisation that matches how you actually work.

Branches that can’t see each other

ProblemHeadquarters cannot see branch inventory in real time, so company-wide control suffers.

What the system doesMulti-branch cloud architecture centralises data, with real-time inventory and activity for every site.

Frequently asked questions

What is a WMS and why does an SME need one?

A WMS (warehouse management system) is software that runs the whole warehouse: receiving, storage, stock control, order picking and shipping. For an SME holding inventory it helps by:

  • Cutting manual errors such as miscounts and wrong shipments, with real-time quantities and locations
  • Speeding up receiving and dispatch, and planning shorter pick routes
  • Keeping stock accurate, avoiding overstock and surprise stock-outs, with low-stock alerts
  • Supporting growth without adding many staff
  • Providing analysis such as turnover, best sellers and items to reduce
We already track stock in Excel. Why switch to a WMS?

Excel is familiar and free, but it stops coping as the business grows. A WMS gives real-time data, removes repeated keying, organises storage space, connects multiple warehouses and branches, and links to sales, transport or ERP systems. It suits businesses with many items or sites that want to control cost and waste and grow in an orderly way.

How does C NET’s cloud WMS compare with on-premises?

An on-premises option is also available if you need it.

How long does WMS implementation take?

ci.Himalayas/Base for SMEs takes about 3–7 working days for a typical business. WMS Standard (ci.Himalayas/R2) can go live in about two weeks when standard functions are used and master data is ready. Both follow the same path: process review, setup, data import, training and go-live, and no in-house IT team is needed.

Can C NET’s WMS connect to the systems we already use?

Yes. It connects to accounting software, order management (OMS), ERP and other systems through API or FTP server, and to marketplaces such as Lazada and Shopee, so sales, stock and accounting data stay in sync without double entry.

What does a WMS cost, and does it suit a start-up?

Price depends on warehouse size, item count and functions, and the number of users and branches. It is a cloud subscription paid monthly or yearly, with no upfront software or server purchase. Start with core functions and add more as you grow; ci.Himalayas/Base has a 30-day free trial.
